It started off strong, and I enjoyed the first 5-6 episodes of the first season. The whole drama thing with the King of Night was ok, it added some substance to the show. I liked it as an absurd comedy better though. Think it should end with Kyouko arc though, rather than the King of Night stuff. Put Kyouko at the end as final boss, stretch out show more and expand on Euclid’s backstory/Masou Shoujo’s society.
The second season wasn’t necessary though… it felt like a wasted opportunity by the creators/staff. No plot advancement really, the boss already died in first season, second was just some fan service. Best part about second season was the voodoo dance. In the end, nothing happened… didn’t fight Chris or anything. King of Night should be in second season.
The show has its funny moments, and I liked it, but it felt like there was some wasted potential.
Anyways, it’s back from 2011. Maybe it’s a common thing back then, but I don’t like shows that have no advancement. At the end of S2, still no progress between Ayumu and the girls, just ended how it started… Nevermind, I marathoned Inou Battle the other day and it’s basically the same thing. Oh well, I don’t mind, but they should at least have better comedic segments in it.
Overall, Kore Zombie > Inou Battle because Kore Zombie is funnier.
